Too Fast Not Yet or Too Soon
Perceiving the contemporary as unstable matter
Contemporary Perception
I have the feeling that our contemporaneity is always more and more complex to perceive. Many global situations like colonialism, injustice, overproduction, climate change and so on, are getting almost difficult to grasp, as they are hidden, unshaped, invisible.

Our perception of the current time changes based on the different media we interact with (intentionally or not) and so we live within multiple contemporaneities that determine our nonlinear sense of time. The way in which we perceive changes and transforms is also based on the media that we use, because every media has multiple temporalities.

Think/act from a different perspective
I am interested in the power of the “invisible” as hidden layers in our society as well as a sensory perception.
The unseen as an extension of the immateriality of sound and AI: I suspect that AI is becoming very close to our senses. It influences our behavior, perception of time and reality. Can it be considered our digital sense? Hear, smell, sight, taste, touch and AI?

But how does "the environment" react at the end of an era? How are new realities created? By putting aside the human ego and trying to “collaborate” with the surrounding environment and non-human entities, perhaps we can find alternatives to our stories.
The process of identification from the point of view of the Turritopsis dohrnii becomes an important tool for opening up new perspectives.

We need to detect the invisible and the unseen in order to discover and/or notice the situations and feelings that lie in a different level of reality, a kind of sub-layer from which we cannot detach but make visible.
[..] The anthropology of the senses posits that sensory perception is both a physical and a cultural act; the senses are both physiological receptors of information and mediators of social value

Autopoiesis is a term used to describe a self-creating, self-maintaining system. It was originally coined by biologists Humberto Maturana and Francisco Varela. An autopoietic system is one that produces and maintains its own components, continuously self-regulating and self-organizing to preserve its organization#. The term is commonly used in biology to describe living organisms' ability to self-regulate, self-repair, and maintain their structure and function.
Transdifferentation is the process in which one mature somatic cell is transformed into another mature somatic cell without undergoing an intermediate pluripotent state or progenitor cell type. It is a type of metaplasia, which includes all cell fate switches, including the interconversion of stem cells. Current uses of transdifferentiation include disease modeling and drug discovery and in the future may include gene therapy and regenerative medicine. The term 'transdifferentiation' was originally coined by Selman and Kafatos in 1974 to describe a change in cell properties as cuticle producing cells became salt-secreting cells in silk moths undergoing metamorphosis.

The ultimate goal of regenerative medicine is to replace lost or damaged cells. This can potentially be accomplished using the processes of dedifferentiation, transdifferentiation or reprogramming.

During dedifferentiation, a terminally differentiated cell reverts back to a less-differentiated stage from within its own lineage, which allows it to proliferate. Many regenerative processes have been associated with dedifferentiation.

Transdifferentiation sees cells regress to a point when they can switch lineages or can also occur directly between two different cell types.

Reprogramming aims to induce differentiated cells into reverting to pluripotency. From here, they can differentiate into almost any cell type.

Systems as Compositions
“these artists, I argue, deploy forms of composition: they recognize a broader need to put together and assemble, to construct and compose radical forms of commonality. Importantly, this conception of composition departs from the term’s meaning in “new music” institutions—and, moreover, requires a break with sound (art) and absolute music.”

GDB: Transcription, by its very nature, deals with history; in order to transcribe something, it must have already occurred. As a form of both writing and composing, transcription reframes and re-presents historical moments. Although mechanical, and even machinic, these recording processes are also performative and involve the body. (As a visual art parallel, recall Michael Fried’s famous objection to the way Minimalism had purportedly inscribed the viewer’s own »temporality« into the work.) In music, transcription’s historical dimension may seem unspectacular (after all, one could argue that performing any pre-composed musical work similarly invokes the problem of history). But transcription makes explicit such reference to the past in an art form that has, by many accounts, programmatically eschewed referentiality as such. In my own art practice, I subject existing artworks, pieces of music, historical texts, and performances to various transcription processes.

THE FINAL NOTE

Research on future smells (The smell of the end of the world) starting from analyzing the smells belonging to the beginning of the world (following the big ben theory). As in sound also in smell there is a composition of different elements (materials) that generate a unique tone, frequency and changes.

Editor’s note: One of the central technologies of artificial intelligence is neural networks. In this interview, Tam Nguyen, a professor of computer science at the University of Dayton, explains how neural networks, programs in which a series of algorithms try to simulate the human brain work.

The ocean is filled with sound. Underwater sound is generated by a variety of natural sources, such as breaking waves, rain, and marine life. It is also generated by a variety of man-made sources, such as ships and military sonars. You can listen to examples of many undersea sounds in the Audio Gallery.
